Group Therapy

Young adults Social Anxiety Group

Who: Anyone between the ages of 18-25 who experiences difficulty in social interaction*. For example:

-anxiety around social settings

-fear of judgement or criticism

-a sense of isolation/loneliness

-difficulty building or maintaining relationships

-difficulties in managing conflict

What:

-A safe space where a Psychologist facilitates engagement with others with relatable experiences.

-Opportunity to develop a better understanding of your anxiety and learn how to better manage the difficult thoughts and feelings in social settings.

Please note: These groups are NOT a replacement for individual psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment. They are designed to provide a safe space to share and learn with others with related difficulties. *All potential group members will first be interviewed to determine whether the group is and appropriate intervention for their current difficulties.

When: Fridays from 14:00-15:00

Where: Dawn Autism Centre, Bizweni Campus, Somerset West

Cost: R250 per week (10% discount if you pay for six sessions upfront)
